Our Public Safety, Security & Care organization is Australia based and has partnered with a Canadian company called Public Safety 411. With a decade of success offering annual ‘day-of-seminars’ to delegates from many walks of life they bring a unique method of conference delivery and additional planning expertise to our team here at Public Safety Security & Care.
We will be delivering single day conferences throughout Australia where we will share topical information with and amongst emergency services including police, fire, EMS, military, security, municipal & emergency planners, and allied discipline personnel such as nursing, mental health providers, transport organizations, teachers and human resources departments.
Having worked on conference planning since the ‘80’s our team’s combined experiences are sure to result in a ‘day-of-seminars’ which will greatly meet our delegates expectations.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Emergency services, including police, fire, EMS, emergency planning, municipal planning & human resources, mental health workers, nursing, security, the military, transport personnel, teachers, corrective services and other allied disciplines will find these sessions of interest.
WHAT IS THE EVENT?
This is a forum which will offer a professional development day of information about mental health, addiction, and most specifically post-traumatic stress disorder diagnosis, stigma and treatment in our uniformed population.
Sessions will offer current and trending prevention, diagnosis and treatment options for those that work in public safety and other workplaces which present risk. Attendees will be exposed to information surrounding the stigma of mental illness by experts in the field. Under the professional leadership of Lt. Col. Oliver Barbour of the Irish Defence Force, keynote speakers from across Canada will present topical information on best practice and social stigma from a number of unique viewpoints.
